After earning his medical degree from Nova Southeastern University, Dr. Bain completed a rigorous General Surgery residency at NYU Langone Hospital – Brooklyn, culminating in his role as chief resident. He further honed his skills through a fellowship in Bariatric and Advanced GI Surgery at Banner Gateway Medical Center, where he gained extensive experience in complex hernia repair, advanced laparoscopy, and robotic surgery, including Da Vinci certification. This specialized training allows him to offer patients the most advanced and effective hernia repair options.
Dr. Bain is certified by the American Board of Surgery and holds certifications from the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery (ASMBS) and the Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons (SAGES). He is a published researcher and has presented at national conferences. While his expertise includes bariatric surgery and other general surgery procedures, his focus remains on providing individualized and comprehensive hernia care.
Dr. James Nangeroni is a skilled surgeon specializing in minimally invasive hernia repair. He leverages advanced techniques, including robotic-assisted surgery, to provide patients with optimal outcomes and faster recovery times.
After earning his medical degree from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, Dr. Nangeroni completed a comprehensive general surgery residency at the Rowan University School of Osteopathic Medicine, gaining extensive experience across diverse surgical settings. During this time, he developed a keen interest in hernia surgery, recognizing the significant impact advanced techniques can have on patient well-being.
Dr. Nangeroni is proficient in a wide range of hernia repair procedures, utilizing minimally invasive laparoscopic and robotic-assisted approaches. He is a high-volume robotic surgeon at Southern Ocean Medical Center, where he has been instrumental in adopting the DaVinci Xi robotic surgical platform, even performing the first robotic colon surgery at the hospital. He also operates at Bayshore Medical Center and Raritan Bay Medical Center-Perth Amboy.
While also experienced in other general surgery procedures including gallbladder, stomach, and colon surgery, and a member of NJ Weight Loss Doctors, Dr. Nangeroni's focus remains on delivering precise and effective hernia repairs, minimizing patient discomfort and maximizing recovery.
Dr. Richard Greco is a board-certified general surgeon specializing in minimally invasive hernia repair. He is affiliated with several hospitals in New Jersey, including Bayshore Community Hospital, Southern Ocean Medical Center, Hackensack University Mountainside Hospital, and Raritan Bay Medical Center. He utilizes advanced laparoscopic techniques, providing patients with less invasive and more efficient hernia repair options.
Dr. Greco honed his minimally invasive surgical skills during his fellowship at Hackensack University Medical Center, focusing on minimally invasive and bariatric surgery. His strong foundation in general surgery, including his experience as Chief Surgical Resident at St. Joseph's Regional Medical and Trauma Center, further enhances his expertise in hernia repair. He earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Biology from the Georgia Institute of Technology.
